What I Learned While Editing My Life

I have recently joined Blogger for the documentation of my life. I feel that it's very important not to live life without writing down every single detail. Whether great or small, happy or sad, richer or poorer you have to enjoy the ride. I used to have a Blogger that was updated regularly but then I hit a pont in my life where I just stopped telling the story. I felt that it wasn't worth writing about and that I didn't really do anything worthy of my readers.

My whole way of thinking changed after reading a book by Donald Miller called A Million Miles in a Thousand Years. It chronicles Miller's rare opportunity to edit his life into a great story, to reinvent himself so nobody shrugs their shouders when the credits role. Through heart-wrenching honesty and hilarious self-inspection, Donald Miller takes readers through the life that emerges when it turns from boring reality into a meaningful narrative.

After reading this book I decided that my life is a story line and I'm the writer. The story is about my life and everyone in it and everything that happens is significant. My wife has joined me in Blogger too so it's comforting to have a good form of constructive criticism, ha ha. Check out her blogspot!
